Old Testament Festival

The end of the school year is drawing to a close,
and Carlie's class celebrated with their Old Testament Festival this past week.
I must say,
it was very cute.
All the kids decked out as OT figures,
then reading their paragraphs about each.

Check out Moses below. What a hoot!!

Carlie was Ruth.
I bought a cheap sheet at Goodwill
and constructed her costume out of that.
Turned out pretty good,
and since Ruth was poor (until she married Boaz),
it didn't have to be anything fancy.

Cruising Part Two

I guess since we are one month out from our cruise (time flies),
it is really pretty pointless to post these.
But, it would leave out our favorite place we visited which was Costa Rica.
If you ever get a chance to go,
I highly recommend it.
The family we met who owned the rainforest farm
we toured were just fabulous people.

And, Grand Cayman was once again fabulous.
Despite the fact that there always a few hiccups and irritations
(like being one number away from winning a free cruise in BINGO- grrrrrr),
I still love to cruise, and it is my preferred way to travel.

Southern Caribbean Cruise 2011

It took forever and a day to get the photos off the camera,
fit to a slideshow, and uploaded to the blog.

I didn't bother to edit them.
My photography skills are so awesome, I don't need to anyway.
Ha!

With over 500 photos total, I had to cut it down to 87 to fit the music.
*Sigh*

This means Part Two of our cruise will come hopefully by the end of the week.
I could use some song suggestions,
or I'll have to resort to Jimmy Buffett.

This video shows pics from Haiti, Colombia, and Panama.
I didn't get many pictures in Panama
because most of our time was spent on a very bumpy bus tour.
