Wildcat Country

Sorry for the delay in getting these posted. Another great visit to Wildcat Country.
Once we have a house,
I'm going to steal Grammy Dobbins' idea of the stepping stones.
Thanks to Aunt Casey for making the long trip down to see us.

I see the moon, and the moon sees me.
Checking out the morning moon.
Preparing to make the stepping stones.
Grammy steps in to assist.
It's a messy job.
Nicely done.
Time for one more.
Messy can be fun.
I can't believe how big she is getting.
The finished project.
Everyone gather round for a group photo!

Oxford Trip

The kids and I went to Oxford with my parents to visit my wonderful sister, Becky, late this summer. I'll try to post the trip to KY pics tomorrow.
Maybe Sunday I'll post all the goings on and
why I haven't been able to post much.
We are just B-U-S-Y, and I think we will be eliminating some things soon.
Here is our trip via photo captions...
Lunch at the Taylor Grocer.  Best fish around, y'all.
YUM!
Price is Right Model in Training
Or possibly, photographer in training
Don't know what Faulkner wrote.  I'm so uncultured.
The Campus
The Kappa Delta House

The Grove.  I felt like I was on a cruise ship tour as our driver wouldn't stop and we had to take pictures through the window.
The condo of a certain Fox News correspondent.  I edited out his/her address so some whack Liberal doesn't start stalking him/her.
Again with the window and the late afternoon sun.  The beautiful southern plantation of a certain MVP QB.
Another pic of the house from the conservative stalker.
Home of a Hollywood executive and Miss America Chairman
Playtime at an Oxford park
This sweet little girl pushed the kids on the swings.
And so ends our visit to Oxford. We had a great time and hope to get back there soon but will probably make a trip to Omaha first.

Back in Session

First day back to school.
Noah came home and declared,
"I do not like kindergarten, I LOVE kindergarten!"
And, after Carlie complained all summer that she didn't want to leave 2nd grade,
she had a "Great!" first day in 3rd grade.
So, we're off to a wonderful beginning.

Mommy Daughter Day

Saturday, Carlie and I had another MDD. This time, I decided to surprise her and take her to the American Girl movie showing at the mall where the new AG store recently opened. I wasn't the only one who made reservations.
Once we got in line, a woman in front of me blurts out, "You're Fred and Jan's daughter!" I thought she looked familiar but didn't expect to see anyone I knew coming from Indiana.
The movie was McKenna. So, there were gymnastics demonstrations going on while everyone waited in line to get into the show. Some of us ended up in the second row where you have to look up the entire movie. I don't know who the idiotic brilliant person is who thought putting seats 8 feet from the giant screen was a good idea.
After the movie we walked over to the store. It was crowded. Crowded is not the right word, more like CRAZY MADHOUSE. Ugh! I was getting claustrophobic, and I don't get claustrophobic. Put me in a stadium full of rabid baseball, football, or basketball fans, and I'm great. This was a nightmare. I will never go back on a Saturday.
But, it's not about me. Carlie had a great time! And, her dolls are enjoying their new t-shirts which were the only things I could afford. Maybe next time Mike can take her (or Grammy).
